Lee Jeans, no longer my Daddy’s jeans!

I grew up being raised by a single dad from the time I was a toddler until I was entering junior high. Do you know what that means for my wardrobe? T-shirts and boys Lee Jeans. Due to that early experience I have to admit that I had a bit of a stereotype about what I thought Lee Jeans were all about. I pictured very boxy shaped, boring, boys jeans.

Last night I had the privilege of attending the first ever Lee Style Party. When I first found out I would be going my husband had this idea in his head of what he thought it would be. A room full of hot women, getting naked, trying on jeans. It would then lead to lingerie pillow fights. I can assure you, we did not just roam around naked. I can’t say if there were lingerie pillow fights or not as I had to leave early to come home and take care of sick little Soup. I do believe he was wrong on that part though.

Now for the reality of what the evening was like.

A bunch of wonderful women, wine, two lovely representatives from Lee Jeans and amazing jeans!

We were told about the different body shapes and given tips on what styles to look for to get the best fit & appearance for our shape.

Once we learned about Lee Jeans (that are nothing like my dads idea from back in the day) we got down to business! We each got to work one on one with the stylist to find the perfect fit for us! I personally got to try on 2 pair of jeans. The first was a flare. I liked them and everyone told me they liked how they looked. They were a bit long for me so I would need to wear heels with them. I don’t wear heels very often so I decided to try on the next pair. I fell in love instantly with this pair of jeans! I sent out the following tweet:

They are the Lee Gold Label Piper Jegging in Vintage Blue. The best part? I got to bring them home with me! How awesome is that??? They fit amazingly! I have many pair of skinny jeans/leggings/jeggings of other brands. Some of them sit lower on the hips which isn’t always the best when you are 40 and have had 3 children. Others have that annoying gap in the back of the waistband. You know that gap, right? These have a waist that sits a little bit higher & doesn’t gap! I tried them on for my Hubby and he approved! He likes my butt in them. Go figure, he’s a man after all. The denim is also softer than some brands. It is not stiff, it moves and bends freely.

Everyone seemed really excited about their perfect fit as the evening went on. I wish I had taken photos at the time however, my mind was on Soup being as she had been really sick for 2 days.

Today I just had to wear my new pair of jeans! I paired them with a comfy top since I’m just playing with Soup then going grocery shopping. I can totally imagine dressing them up a bit with a nice top and shoes. This is going to turn into my “go to” pair of jeans!

These photos were taken by my son and Soup insisted on being in them. She wont leave my side, and is feeling better! Sorry they aren’t better quality.

Thank you to Lee Jeans for this great experience! You have totally changed my mind about the brand!

Do you find it difficult to find the perfect pair of jeans?

The jeans were given to me as part of the party. I was not compensated for this post. All opinions are mine.

    • Thanks! I love them. My Hubby comments every time I put them on about me wearing them “again” LOL. It really was a good time. I am so thankful Melissa invited me! Wish you had been there so we could have met.
